Description

PIPE-LAX is a high-performance material which is designed for damaging filter cake and releasing stuck tools in downhole. It is a blend of surfactants and emulsifiers which ease the breakdown of mud cake and lubricating the downhole tools. PIPE-LAX can be used to free differential stuck incidents and the stuck pipes which are related to unsuitable filter cakes. It is better to pumped as pills rather than in active mud.

Advantages

  • Easy to mix through hopper
  • Reduce the required force which is needed to free stuck pipe
  • Can be mixed with crude oil, diesel and low-toxicity oil
  • Minimize possibility of losing well due to stuck

Applications

Main function of PIPE-LAX is to damage the filter cake around stuck zone and reduce the required force which is needed to free stuck pipe. PIPE-LAX pill is an excellent choice for differential stuck incidents when thick filter cake is formed on wellbore surface. Based on severity of losses, volume and optimum concentration of PIPE-LAX is selected. It can be used in drilling and casing running operations.
