Description

OBM Primary Emulsifier is a high-quality grade of emulsification agents for oil-based drilling fluids. OBM Primary Emulsifier is widely used in in different mud densities and oil/water ratios in order to increase emulsification between water and oil phases, increase temperature stability and viscosity, minimize filtration and help to forming thin filter-cake in wellbore surface.

Advantages

  • Wetting the drill solids with oil phase
  • Increase emulsion stability characteristic
  • provides excellent filtration characteristics in HPHT environments
  • Compatible with most types of regular oil-based muds
  • Easy to mix
  • Stable up to 300°F
  • Forming high quality filter cake on wellbore walls
  • Improve thermal stability
  • Improve contamination-resistance of the mud
  • Provide viscosity

Applications

Main function of OBM Primary Emulsifier is increasing emulsification quality and oil-wetting the drilling solids. It also lowers filtration properties in oil-based muds. It can be used in workover and completion operations as well as drilling.
