White Sprite is an oil-based solvent which is a mixture of paraffinic and aromatic hydrocarbons (7 to 12 carbons). It has a liquid, transparent and colorless appearance. This chemical is a mixture of chemicals known as petroleum hydrocarbons. It is chemically stable and does not cause corrosion. Its advantages include low toxicity, easy odor removal and lower price compared to other solvents. The chemical properties of white sprite can vary depending on its grade.
white spirit is used as a diluent, cleaning solvent, drying solvent, degreasing solvent and as a solvent in aerosols, paints, wood preservatives, varnishes, raw materials for resin paints, cables and wiring, as cutting and lathe oils in lathes and in asphalt products.
White Spirit categories
White spirit can be classified according to the degree of flammability or types of extraction. In terms of flammability, this material is classified according to the crude oil used as the starting material, distillation conditions and aromatic percentage. Grades produced from the process of hydrosulfurization or desulfurization of boiling temperature c ˚ 230-90, including first grade of white spirits containing a maximum of 25% of aromatic compounds and second grade of this substance contains a maximum of 17% of aromatic compounds of naphtha.
