Wood Products

Historically, the origin of the wood industry runs back to around several hundred years ago. The wood and lumber industry have been constantly developing aiming to maximize production to meet the everchanging needs of globalization. It is evident that wood plays a major role in the gross domestic production (GDP) of economies as it is used widely to produce different types of products such as furniture, medical tools, plywood, pulp and paper.
The wood industry consists of some smaller sectors, such as forestry, logging, wood material companies and feeds production for paper companies. Given that the production of wood is a result of deforestation, many countries have set heavy regulations. Environmental organizations and NGOs monitor this industry to minimize any forestry damage and consequently, soil and air issues. However, it is unfortunate to say that wood is being exploited in many parts of the world
